Born and raised and working in New York City, then living and working in Florida, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo and Chicago, much of Dee's time was spent with television news directors, news writers, news producers and on-air anchors. Those experiences provided an education, insight and smarts which have proven to be invaluable in Dee's professional career.
Dee views each project as a collaborative event and prides herself in establishing rapport and trust with her clients.
"...As I interview, I want all involved to be comfortable and confident that the information I gather is translated accurately," she says. "Then, in addition to getting the facts straight and the message across - I weave the story into an informative, entertaining and easy read."
"I write and edit each story to a specific audience," she says. "Whether freelancing an assignment or working with clients, my words serve their purpose. No cliches. No buzz words. No puff. No jargon."
When publicizing personalities, products, facilities, businesses or services, Dee makes it a point to incorporate or highlight human interest, educational and public service slants whenever possible. "The work must not only suit my clients' needs, but please publishers, editors, and ultimately my intended audiences."
